Artist
My name is Mateusz and I am an artist based
in Kraków. I create oil paintings that combine impressionistic brushstrokes with an expressionistic color palette. I paint using thick, textured patches of paint, allowing light, shadow, the glow of the sun to take center stage on my canvases.
Inspiration
My inspiration comes from nature —
mountain peaks, the sea, and untamed landscapes. I create out of a deep admiration for nature, using light, color, and form to stir the senses and invite the viewer into a world
of emotion, wilderness, and vivid visual experience.
Art
I paint using the impasto technique, in a post-impressionistic style, building each piece with bold, textured brushstrokes. Thick layers of paint form a mosaic of color — raw and expressive up close, yet luminous and harmonious from a distance, like a stained glass window painted with light and pigment.
