BLOCKPRINTS
BLOCKPRINT ART
Linocut is a printmaking technique in which a design is being carved into a block of linoleum, using special knives and tools. The artist inks the made printing form, using printmakers brayers. The image is impressed then on high quality graphic and hand drawn papers . Because the entire process is done by hand, these impressions, called “linocuts”, all carry their own unique characteristics, and are considered to be original pieces of art.
A time-consuming process with no room for error demanding the highest quality craftsmanship.
